MiceTech Talk Episode 36: Let's Talk Stress, Social Distancing, & Cage Density (May 11, 2021)

May 11, 2021- Mice, like humans, are social animals. Many of us have experienced stress and anxiety from COVID-19 pandemic-related social restrictions. Creating an environment which nurtures a healthy level of socializing and physical activity supports both the welfare and well-being of mice and humans. In this episode, we discuss the impact of caging configuration and environmental enrichment on the breeding and welfare of research mice, especially those strains with challenging phenotypes.
