The laboratory mouse is an accessible and genetically pliable preclinical model for the study of coronavirus infection and for therapeutics evaluation. Here, we discuss upcoming and established strains in the JAX COVID-19 Model Portfolio, in the context of in vivo findings with SARS-CoV2 and related viruses.
